Background & Story

I'm Nachiket Kulkarni, a Senior DevOps and Platform Engineer with over 8 years of experience designing and operating large-scale cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and data platforms. I currently work at Autodesk in Pune, India, where I lead DevOps and platform engineering for enterprise clients including Pixar, Hyundai, and L&T.

My journey started in QA and test automation at TIBCO Software, where I built a deep appreciation for software reliability and observability. Over the years I transitioned fully into DevOps — building pipelines, managing Kubernetes clusters, and designing IaC-driven cloud environments at NICE and Coupa Software before joining Autodesk.

I hold a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), which sharpened my foundations in distributed systems, machine learning, and systems design. This background has been invaluable as I work increasingly at the intersection of DevOps and AI/ML — building MLOps platforms, model deployment pipelines, and data infrastructure for analytical workloads.

Outside of work I enjoy contributing to open-source projects, experimenting with LLM tooling, and writing developer tooling in Python. I'm passionate about platform engineering as a discipline — creating golden paths that make developers more productive while keeping systems observable, secure, and cost-efficient.
